To the UK and Mainland Europe the most economic method is often via
Palletised Transport , this is a regular service
Carriages can also be sent on return loads, an example of this would be
a lorry from Holland is delivering items to the south west UK and then
returning to Holland Via Germany rather go back empty it is much better for
the transport company to find items to take back picking up dropping off on
route .The disadvantage to this method is it is much harder to give a
delivery day .
Overseas transport is generally via container , this is a relatively
cheap method of transporting larger items and can be a very economic way of
transporting carriages especially if several carriages are transported
together
